Motivation

Climate has large socio-economical impacts round the globe and one of the functions of climate scince (science in general) is to provide information for the society to make the Earth a better place to live. However, often times it seems that the scientific break-trhoughs don't make their way to the legistlation. Is it because politicians don't know, don't want to understand or don't care. Or perhaps because the scientific message never made it from the scientist to politician.

Idea

  • This class concentrates on the information flow from the scientists trough politicians to the legistlation
  • Also the aspect of geoetics would be interesting
