Welcome to Faggruppe Molecular Biology

This Wiki is meant as a tool for the students and staff working in our laboratories. A subset of the Department of Biological Sciences, the Molecular biology division currently comprises 11 research groups with overlapping focus on molecular aspects of biology, ranging from basic research questions on evolutionary aspects of development, to studies of core biochemical and cell biological processes. Frequently these studies are directed toward advancements in industrial practices or providing greater understanding of medical, or health related, -conditions.

The research groups that inhabit these laboratories are: the Lewis lab, Halskau lab, Cell Stress, the Grellscheid lab, the Hejnol group, the O'Farrell lab, the Onishchenko lab, the Haugland lab and the Rentzsch lab, all of which are part of the Department of Biological Sciences.
